This is a picture by my very long time friend, Rakune, aka Sticky Paws.
It’s an acrylic piece that I commissioned a little bit ago when he was open for commissions. I’ve always been in love with the amount of detail that he puts into his work.
His title for this is “Elegance.” Mine would be “Portrait of a Weapon.” Either way, it’s some amazing work.
Drop by his FA page and let him know what you think of his work!
Cheers!!
Love the subtlety of the striping in her fur. In addition to Hazel; overall she reminds me of characters in CJ Cherryh’s “Chanur” series of books. The title “Portrait of a Weapon” fits that one too. 🙂
I did enjoy the Chanur books as well. I hadn’t thought of them in a long time. I may have to root through my library and find them again. 🙂
You definitely should dig out your Chanur books. I can’t remember how many times I’ve read the whole series!
Yeah, they’re back on my list. Much of my reading time now is spent catching up on Astrophysics and Quantum Mechanics. I haven’t touched the stuff since I was in College (Early 80’s. Yeah–I’m old).
Yeah; almost as old as me! 😉 Althoooougghh… If you were in college long enough to study Astrophysics and Quantum Mechanics you might actually be as old as me. (But much smarter! :-))
I’m in my 50’s now. Not sure what decade you were whelped in. 😉
🙂 1955! Right in the middle of the ’50s. 🙂
