There’s always a catch. Why would the military need her to demonstrate how she took the suit apart? Couldn’t they figure that out from forensics?
As always, the great art is by Nelly and the writing is mine.
Tell ’em they should’ve ‘paid’ attention the first time! 🙂
Well, while Ed is very correct, that just isn’t how the military works. There is a VERY, VERY, good reason “Military Intelligence” is an oxyMORON. Now as for demonstrating just how she trashed it, hell, if any one asked me to repeat how I destroyed something so they could make it harder to do it again, I would say “Lead me to the test area and how many do you want trashed?”
One reason for asking for a demonstration is that one time could be a fluke, while 2 or more times indicate problem areas in the system.
Contrary to popular TV… often there is simply not enough left or not enough of the ‘right’ stuff left to let you forensically prove what happened. All too often the final result of an investigation is purely based on ‘likely scenarios’ and ‘educated guesswork’ based on prior events.
Again, all too often you do not have the chance to re-enact the conditions of the incident or the key players/data are no longer in existence or in any condition to help you.
These blokes are willing to ‘play’ the game to get the info they want… and they will try to set a situation where you have no choice but to play as well… it may be a ploy, but it gives everyone the chance to say they had no choice but to co-operate.
