B: By the way, just what the heck are Zik and Zak anyway. My initial reaction was Nivens’ Pearsons’ Puppeteers, but that doesn’t work. Obviously some kind of aquatic beast, but alien or GELF??? I assumed alien but not neccessiarily so.
Zik and Zak are Narek. They’re a completely alien species. The issue of Nareks will come up in more detail later is the story line along with a number of other alien species who are part of the Empire.
